Oregon Lacrosse Classic Round-Up
Petaluma, CA - The 101 Lacrosse club visited Bend, OR this past weekend to participate in the Oregon Lacrosse Classic. Our girls played with great heart and competed in a very difficult tournament.
Our young guns started with a loss but snagged two big wins on Saturday to earn a spot in the championship bracket. With a short bench they battled their way to a 4th place finish. Incredible how well that team played including a OT winner on Saturday by Rebecca Mark ('27, Novato).
Our High School Gold team started with a loss on Friday but came back to get a big win on Saturday and earn a chance to compete for fifth place. They started Sunday with a big win over RIZE Crimson before dropping a game to Team Idaho. They were lead in goal by Natalie Minor ('24) who was lights out and on the field by Kendall Pell ('24) and Bianco Conroy ('23).
Our High School Black team faced some stiff competition on the weekend. After dropping their first game they battled on Saturday morning before falling in overtime. On Sunday morning they came back with some fight and were able to snag a win over RIZE Black. Many of our young players took a huge step forward. The future is bright for this bunch of young ladies!
Thank you to our seniors who had an amazing run with us. We will miss each of you.
